What else do I do at work?

Well, here is another slice of the pie. This article titled “Health Net……Savings on Out-Of-Network Health Claims” is similar to something I was working on a while ago. I looked at all of our claims by In-Network vs. Out-of-Network by lines of business PPO/HMO/POS, and split up by a number of other segments…to see what our discounts were. My final product can be put on one page and look pretty, but it took me a long time to get the data perfectly organized in accordance with corporate actuary. You would think it would be a straightforward task, but it wasn’t.

There is such an abundance of information at my fingertips. It’s almost like epidemiology, I just don’t have as big of a population to explore as our competitors.
